PRP Facial
PRP facial is a rejuvenating treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the patient’s own blood. The patient’s blood sample placed in the centrifuge to separate the (PRP) and injects the solution in to the face, or using Microneedling device.
PRP treatment rejuvenate the skin by stimulating collagen and elastin production, reducing wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars, improving skin tone and texture, make your skin plumper.
Recommended course of 3-6 sessions (3-6 weeks apart). For severe Skin Damage or Aging Skin: 6+ sessions. Followed by a maintenance every 4-6 months for optimal facial rejuvenation results, based on skin needs and goals.
PRP treatments are not suitable if you:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Have an active infection (cold, flu) or acute illness.
- Keloid scarring or poor wound healing.
- Have blood disorders (clotting or thinning issues) or are on anticoagulants, antiplatelet and corticosteroid medications.
- Have autoimmune conditions or are immunosuppressed.
- Have a history of cancer (particularly blood-related cancers).
- Have been on isotretinoin (accutane) within the past 6 months.
- Have severe acne, eczema, psoriasis. (on the treatment area)
- Have bacterial/fungal infections, warts (on the treatment area.
- Have had laser, chemical peels treatments within the past 2 weeks.
Pre-Care an Post-Care instructions before treatments:
- Avoid blood-thinning medications for 7 days prior to treatment (Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Aspirin). If you are on prescribed medications, consult your GP before stopping.
- Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before treatment and after post treatment.
- Limit coffeine and smoking before treatment.
- Drink plenty of water (at least 2 litres) daily for 48 hours prior to treatment and after to stay hydrated to support healing process.
- Avoid touching the treated area for 24 hours.
- Avoid makeup and active skin products (AHAs, BHAs, Retinoids) for 48 hours post-treatments. Use a gentle cleanser and hydrating moisturiser.
- Avoid sauna, steam room, hot shower and exercise for 48 hours post treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure during the first few days after treatment, especially during peak sunlight hours. Wearing sunscreen (SPF 36+ daily and reapply regularly), hats and sunglasses can help protect the treated area from UV damage and promote healing.
